We have a huge NFC North clash on our hands Thursday when the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions beat the Vikings 22-16 in overtime in Week 9, and thLions have had all 10 of their games this season decided by seven points or fewer. Odds are we’ll see another tight and low-scoring game today.
6-Point Teaser – Vikings +7 & Under 47.5 Points
The Vikings were coming off four consecutive losses before holding on for an important 30-24 home triumph over Arizona on Sunday. Minnesota’s league-worst offense had another rough showing with just 217 total yards, but the team is 14-3 ATS in its last 17 games after accumulating less than 250 total yards in its previous game. Minnesota is extremely hard to beat despite its weak offense as it has a top ranked D allowing just 17.6 points per game.
The Lions have won five of their last six. The defense has been excellent of late, holding the last three opponents to an average of 297 total yards and it forced three turnovers in last week’s 26-19 win against Jacksonville. The Lions are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games but just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. NFC North.
The underdog is 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings and the Vikings are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings in Detroit. Under is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
Detroit might win the game outright in the end, but no way they win by more than a touchdown.
